Clarification about what was reported by some social media pages

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Some social media pages reported a video showing a number of Syrian refrigerator trucks with a LAF patrol escort, and the video was appended with terms and comments claiming that LAF is facilitating smuggling out of Lebanese territory.

Army Command clarifies that on 08/04/2021, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate in Saka al-Badawi was suspicious about 11 refrigerator trucks intended set for transporting vegetables coming from Syria towards Lebanese territory, and so they stopped and escorted them to a military outpost.

 After searching them and carrying out investigations with the drivers, it was discovered that the vegetable load inside the trucks was intended to be exported abroad through the Port of Beirut and that they have crossed the Lebanese-Syrian borders legally.
