Clarification regarding what was broadcasted in some media outlets regarding a Syrian arrested individual being subjected to torture in the army prisons

The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
Some media outlets broadcasted a report belonging to "Human Right Watch" organization concerning a Syrian arrested individual with the ALIAS "Chadi" being subjected to torture in the army prisons following his accusation of engaging in homosexual activity during February 2016.
The Army Command would like to clarify that on 05/02/2016, Syrian Haytham Abdalla Hamsho, his mother Fatouma Barak, born on 1985, was arrested for roaming with a fake ID with purpose of committing a security – breaching act, engaging in sexual activity with women and blackmailing them and engaging in homosexual activity.
The necessary interrogation procedures took place under the supervision of the competent authorities and he was turned in to the relevant authorities.
Moreover, the Army command would like to clarify that all arrested individuals are being treated according to implemented rules and regulations and Human Rights international agreements and confirm that no arrested individual is being subjected to torture.
