Clarification of what was recently broadcasted about the establishment of a barrier at the surrounding of Ain el Helwe camp

The Army Headquarters – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

In clarification of what was recently broadcasted about the establishment of a barrier at the surrounding of Ain el Helwe camp, the Army Headquarters would like to confirm that there is no decision to establish this barrier between the camp and its surroundings and what is currently being established is a protection fence in some sectors that don't overlook popular locations and residences inside the camp. The fence aims to preserve the safety of the camp and prevent the infiltration of terrorists inside it or leave it, in addition to closing tunnels leading to the gardens of citizens. Moreover, this issue was agreed upon during previously held meetings between officials in Palestinian fractions and the Intelligence Directorate. The Army headquarters would also like to point out that all the entrances to the camp are open to the traffic and people and relevant authorities are working on facilitating their movement to the maximum.
