Clarifying news published by local newspapers

The Army command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

A local newspaper published in its issue today an article containing information about arresting an officer in the LAF. The LAF clarifies that the mentioned officer was arrested for taking a bribe and that the other claimed accusations concerning crossing off the names of suspects in dealing with the Israeli enemy are false.

Moreover, the Army Command calls on media outlets to be accurate in publishing any information related to the military institution and to refer to it in order to ensure the truth behind the published information.
