Clash and shootout in al-Tabbaneh-Tripoli

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 30/9/2022 in the evening, a clash occurred between citizens in al-Tabbaneh-Tripoli as a result of previous disputes, during which a shootout from firearms occurred.

An army force intervened and raided the residences of the shooters, and arrested the citizen (AA.D.) for possessing a military pistol, and the citizen (A.D.) for possessing a Kalashnikov with his ammunition, grenades and military equipment. During the raid, the force came under fire, as a result of which one of the soldiers was slightly wounded.

The arrestees and the seized items were turned in to the competent judicial authorities.
