Closing roads leading to Chafiq el Wazzan Avenue – Downtown Beirut on the occasion of the Independence Day

The Army Headquarters – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On the occasion of the Independence Day and the central celebration in Chafiq el Wazzan Avenue – Downtown Beirut with the presidency of the President of the Republic General Michel Aoun and with the presence of the state staff, the Army Headquarters notifies citizens that roads leading to the mentioned avenue will be closed according to the following:


•    Tryouts on 18 and 19/11/2017 between 6.00 and 14.00:
-    From the expatriates statues on Charles el Helou station towards Chafiq el Wazzan Avenue.
-    Georges el Haddad street towards the tunnel leading to Charles Helou Avenue.
-    Chafiq Wazzan Street from the Southern side – Biel Entrance.
-    Al Lenbi Street.
-    Foch Street.
-    The renewed Highway in front of Annahar Newspaper building.

 

•    Celebration Day on 22/11/2017 between 6.00 and 14.00:
-    The intersection of the expatriates’ statue.
-    The intersection of Gouraud Street with Pasteur Street (the beginning of Armenia Street).
-    The intersection of Burj el Ghazal.
-    Bechara el Khoury Avenue.
-    The end of Salim Slam tunnel (Jibran Garden).
-    Avenue of President Frangieh (St.Elias Church).
-    The naval passage near Phoenicia Hotel.
-    Zkak el Blat Street.


The Army Command calls upon citizens to commit to the directives of the security and military forces assigned to organizing traffic around the mentioned region.
