A combat maneuver in Hannoush shooting field – Hamat

Under the supervision of the Special Forces School, units from the 3rd Infantry Brigade, the 1st armored vehicles regiment, the 3rd land borders regiment and units from Air and Naval Forces performed a live fire maneuver in Hanoush shooting field – Hamat, simulating taking down a terrorist group entrenched in built areas.
During the maneuver, shootings with mortars, tanks, helicopters and light and medium weapons took place and explosives were detonated in order to open holes. The maneuver also included naval support with the help of combat boats as well as air support and disembarkation and the evacuation of injured individuals from the battlefield using helicopters.
This maneuver comes in the frame of a qualitative training plan set by the Army Command in order to increase the level of preparedness of units and their readiness for swift and efficient intervention in different combat circumstances.
