A delegation from the Arab and foreign military attachés visits the Independent Works Regiment

A number of Arab and foreign military attachés in Lebanon and their assistants visited the HQ of the Independent Works Regiment in Al Jamhour - Haret El-Set, where they were received by the regiment commander, Colonel Yousef Haidar, who gave them a detailed explanation about the tasks carried out by the regiment, especially responding to the rescue operation and removing the debris after the Beirut Port explosion disaster on August 04, 2020.
Colonel Haidar explained the regiment's capabilities in the field of cultural property protection and rapid response in the event of natural disasters. The attachés visited the regiment's workshops and reviewed the progress of work in them, especially in the areas of recycling to secure the raw materials needed to carry out the engineering work of the operational units. Members of the visiting delegation expressed their admiration for the results of the work of the soldiers in the regiment, stressing the continuation of their country's support for the army and their quest to strengthen cooperation relations with it.
