The development of military operations in the jurds of Ras Baalbek, Qaa and Fakiha

The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
Army units involved in the "Dawn of the Jurds" operation launched starting this dawn a large scale operation against the terrorist organization ISIS deployed in the jurds of Ras Baalbek, el-Qaa and el-Fekha on the following axes: Tallit el-Hamra-Hokab Khazaal-Harf el-Jarsh and managed to take control of the following regions: Mrah el-Mkgayrmeh-Chaab el-Mkhayrmeh-Mourtafah 1564-Dahrat Hkan el-Esh-Sahlat Kald el-Thaalab-Wadi Khirbit l Shammis-Wadi el-Kheshen-Dhour el-Mbayyid-Dhour Wadi el-Tinee-Jabal el-Mkhayrmeh-Chaabat el Darb-Kal3it el Jillede and Kornit el Jilledee, which helped the army forces take over movement pathways with the force of fire as well as logistic provision lines of the terrorist ISIS organization in the combat zone. Thus, the space liberated by the LAF until this date amounts to around 30 square kms, which equals to almost 25% from the deployment zone of the mentioned organization.
The LAF operations resulted in chasing away the terrorist groups as well as the death of around 20 terrorists and the destruction of 11 posts belonging to them, containing caves, tunnels, communication paths, fortifications and different weapons while 10 soldiers were injured, one of them was severely injured.
LAF forces continue their advance under heavy fire backup using heavy artillery, rocket launchers and drones while major cases of breakdown and escape were registered among the terrorists.
