Donation Ceremony of 30 Tons of Medical Equipment and Supplies from the Italian Authorities to the LAF
A ceremony was held at the Military Medical Center to mark the handover of a donation from the Italian authorities to the LAF, consisting of 30 tons of medical equipment and supplies. The event was attended by Ms. Silvia Tosi, representing the Italian Ambassador to Lebanon, Fabrizio Marcelli, the Head of the Military Medical Services, Brigadier General Danny Bcherrawi, representing LAF Commander General Rodolph Haykal, UNIFIL Force Commander Major General Diodato Abagnara, as well as several officers.
In his speech during the ceremony, Brigadier General Bcherrawi stated:
"The Italian authorities’ ongoing support and cooperation reflect their strong confidence in the LAF, which remains committed to maintaining security and stability across the country."
The representative of the Italian Ambassador also reaffirmed her country’s steadfast support for the LAF, recognizing its vital role in safeguarding Lebanon’s stability and confronting the challenges of the current period. For his part, the UNIFIL Commander emphasized the importance of ongoing cooperation and coordination with the LAF under the framework of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, as well as continued efforts to strengthen its operational capabilities.
