Eight individuals arrested in various areas in the Southern suburb

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 05 and 06/09/2021, the Intelligence Directorate arrested in various areas in the Southern suburb a number of individuals as follows:

A patrol from the intelligence Directorate arrested in Al-Laylaki – Southern Suburb, the citizen (A.Z.) for causing trouble at a gas station.

The patrol also arrested the citizen (H.H.) for trafficking in firearms and ammunition, opening fire towards a number of persons at different dates and causing injuries, being the subject of an arrest warrant and a notice of court proceedings for facilitating the escape of a prisoner and for threatening and maltreating security personnel.

Another patrol arrested in Al-Mrayjeh, the citizen (J.S.) and his brother (A.S.) for promoting and abusing narcotics and causing trouble. They were seized in possession of narcotics.

Another patrol arrested in Bir Hasan, the citizen (A.A.) for abusing narcotics, stealing a motorcycle and robbing citizens by force of arms.

Another patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested in Burj al Barajneh, the citizen (M.A.) for promoting and abusing narcotics and for carrying out robberies. An amount of narcotics was seized in his possession.

In Sabra, a patrol from the intelligence Directorate arrested the citizen (M.M.) for promoting and abusing narcotics, causing trouble, terrorizing residents and participating in the armed clashes that took place in in Shatila camp. An amount of narcotic pills was previously seized in his possession.

Another patrol arrested in Sahra Choueifat, the citizen (S.Ch.) for promoting and abusing narcotics, causing trouble and opening fire towards LAF troops. The arrestee was seized in possession of a handgun with its magazine and ammunition.

The investigation began with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
