Exceptional Security Measures During The Holidays

The Army Command- Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On the occasion of the Holidays and the various celebrations that accompany them, army units continue to take exceptional security measures in different Lebanese regions in order to preserve the security and safety of citizens and protect religious locations as well as shopping centers and touristic and economic institutions.

The Army Command would like to remind citizens of Resolution 2225 issued by the minister of National Defense on 18/12/2017, consisting of pending arms licenses through all Lebanese regions from 22/12/2017 until 02/01/2018, except for individuals granted a diplomatic license, bodyguards of current and former ministers and deputies, heads of parties and religious fractions as well as employees of foreign embassies in addition to magnetic arms licenses.

The Army Command would also like to call upon the citizens to refrain from opening fire as a celebration of the New Year in order to preserve general safety and in implementation of the enforced laws. Moreover, the Army command confirms that any violation in this issue will lead to the raid, arrest and legal pursuit of the perpetrators.
