Exceptional security measures during the holidays in various Lebanese regions

The Army Command- Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On the occasion of the New Year Eve, army units started taking exceptional security measures in various Lebanese regions in order to preserve the security and safety of citizens and protect religious locations as well as shopping centers and touristic and economic establishments.

The Army Command calls upon citizens to refrain from opening fire as a celebration of the New Year Eve and to respond to the security measures, in order to preserve public safety and public order in the country.

Moreover, the Army command confirms that any violation in this issue will lead to legal pursuit of the perpetrators.
