Executing a raid following a clash that involved gunfire and resulted in the death of a citizen

The LAF Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Following a clash that occurred on July 21, 2025, during which citizen (A.H.) fired shots at citizen (AA.Y.), resulting in the latter's death, a LAF unit supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided the shooter's location in Amchit - Jbeil.

The wanted individual opened fire on the LAF soldiers during the raid, and they returned fire. Upon entering the premises, it was found that he had already died.

 An investigation has been initiated to uncover the circumstances of the clash under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
