Five individuals arrested in the areas of Riyak – Bekaa and Al Morh – Hermel
The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
A patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested the citizen (M.A.) in Riyak – Bekaa for forming one of the most dangerous drug manufacturing and trafficking rings involved in producing Captagon pills and smuggling them abroad, as well as for his involvement in counterfeiting official documents. A firearm was seized in his possession.
Additionally, another patrol raided the residences of wanted individuals in Al Morh – Hermel and arrested citizen (AA.AA.) and the Syrians (B.M.), (M.S.), and (A.S.) for their involvement in manufacturing and trafficking drugs on behalf of a wanted individual. A large quantity of hashish, cocaine, and other narcotic substances, as well as firearms and ammunition, were seized.
The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authority.
