Five Wanted Individuals and a Quantity of Weapons and Ammunition Seized by the Army

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

An army unit arrested Lebanese citizens (F.K.), (Ch.K.), and (AA.K.) in Akroum–Akkar for their involvement in smuggling activities across the border.

Another army unit arrested Lebanese citizen (AA.M.) at the Mankoubin checkpoint in Minieh for his involvement in an altercation during which gunfire was exchanged. A handgun was seized from his possession. The army also arrested Syrian national (AA.M.) in Bazyoun–Jbeil for shooting.

Army units also carried out raids in Jiyeh–Chouf and Wadi Khaled–Akkar, where they seized a quantity of weapons and military ammunition.

The seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities, and an investigation was launched with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
