General Jean Kahwagi inspected the Tyr post and the military units deployed in Marjeyoun
Lebanese Armed Forces Commander General Jean Kahwagi inspected this morning the Tyr post and the military units deployed in Marjeyoun, where he toured the posts and was informed of their defense and security procedures, then met with the officers and soldiers and provided them with the directions for the upcoming phase.
General Kahwagi commended their efforts exerted in order to protect the Southern borders and preserve their stability in cooperation with the UNIFIL. General Kahwagi also stated that the Army’s main mission in defending the South against the Israeli enemy goes side by side with its other missions in facing terrorism at the eastern borders and preserving security on the inside. Moreover, General Kahwagi affirmed that the Army will face any Israeli aggression that might target Lebanon with all available means, reminded the soldiers of the Malkiye battle fought by the army against the Israeli enemy in 1948 and stressed the army’s commitment to the resolution 1701 with all its provisions.
Furthermore, the LAF Commander confirmed that this region is blessed with stability and coexistence between different parties of the Lebanese community and that is due to the efforts exerted by the deployed units and the cooperation with the UNIFIL.
In the end, General Kahwagi invited the soldiers to have further preparedness and awareness and to remain at the citizens’ sides in order to strengthen their resistance in their land and guarantee their security and stability.
