General Kahwagi visited the 10th Infantry Brigade in Bkaasofrin
The LAF Commander General Jean Kahwagi visited the 10th Infantry Brigade Units deployed in the town of Bkaasofrin – El-Donnieh and took a tour around army posts and received a briefing concerning the security measures taken to keep peace and stability in the region and to track down the perpetrators who are disturbing peace. General Kahwagi headed afterwards to the 10th Brigade Headquarters in Kfarshakhna where he met with the officers and troops and gave them his instructions.
General Kahwagi presented his condolences to the troops following the martyrdom of their comrade private Amer el-Mohammad as a result of the terrorist attack that targeted the Brigade’s checkpoint in Bkaasofrin during the evening of last Sunday. General Kahwagi praised the efforts invested by the Intelligence Directorate which swiftly led to the arrest of all the perpetrators. He commended the Lebanese people’s support to the Army in the north in general and this support was materialized during all the past years and stretched right up until the last incident.
General Kahwagi stressed the need to keep on engaging in the fight against terrorism and making all the efforts to eradicate its networks of sabotage aywehre they may be and with all the available means. H reassured the troops that national stability will remain impregnable in light of the solid security haven ensured by the army all over the country.
