The graduation ceremony of the 31st P.S.C course in Fouad chehab academy for command and staff

The graduation ceremony of the 31st P.S.C course was held in Fouad chehab academy for command and staff in Rihaniye which included army and security units officers and others from Egypt, Jordan, Sudan and France.

The ceremony was headed by the Chief of Staff Major General Hatem Mallak representing the Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun and was attended by a number of ambassadors and military attaché and the representatives of security units and national universities and official administrations and 2 military delegations from Egypt and Sudan as well as several high ranked officers and the families of graduates. The ceremony started with the National Anthem, the graduation memorandum was recited and the diplomas were distributed and the shields were exchanged between the head of class and the commander of the academy, pilot Brigadier General Bassam Wassim. After the speeches of the first of his class and the representative of the Arab and foreign officers, the commander of the academy delivered a speech in which he expressed his appreciation to the Army Command for the training it has provided and confirmed that the academy will continue to improve its syllabus in a way to keep up with technology and military science and modern battle methods as well as defense and security missions performed by the Army. Furthermore, the Chief of Staff delivered a speech in which he congratulated the graduates and commended the efforts of the officers and professors and trainers, the speech included:

“you graduate today at a time where your army continues to battle terrorism with firmness and strength, anticipating its dangers at times through preemptive operations that nip its schemes from its bud, and at other times while confronting it at the eastern borders.” The Chief of Staff added: “our battle will remain against terrorism until it is finally eradicated from the nation, because it is the battle of defending Lebanon’s unity and its historic humanitarian message. This noble mission does not distract the army from its parallel mission of defending the Southern borders against the Israeli enemy, or in fighting organized crimes and preserving internal stability and guaranteeing that national occasions will be held.”
