Wednesday, 28 February 2018

The Republican Guard Brigade hosted on this morning the graduation ceremony of female soldiers who completed the assigned training period. The ceremony was headed by Brigade Commander Brigadier General Salim Feghali who represented the Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun. Trainers, relatives of the female soldiers and a number of officers also attended the ceremony while Brigadier General Salim Feghali said in a speech he delivered on the occasion: The Army’s insistence on recruiting female soldiers clearly indicates the command’s belief in the pivotal role played by women in building society and State Institutions. This persistence also shows our respect to the sacred right of women in assuming productive jobs just as it demonstrates the leading national model that the Army represents thanks to its personnel that consists of individuals from all sects and religions without any discrimination between one citizen and another.
A military parade took place at the end of the ceremony where all the graduating units participated.
