Saturday, 20 August 2016

The graduation ceremony of a Rangers course named after martyr Staff Adjutant Bassam Jawhar was celebrated today in the Special Forces School – Hamat. The ceremony was headed by the commander of the school Colonel P.S.C Fadi Makhoul representing the LAF Commander and was attended by a crowd of officers and the relatives of the graduates.
Colonel Makhoul delivered a speech on the occasion in which he commended the high level of the course and the efforts of the trainers. His speech included: “Gaining the combat skills and arts necessary for a ranger throughout his military life can only reach its intended goals if you identify your enemies. Our historical enemy is Israel that keeps plotting against Lebanon in order to target its unity and take over its territory. Our other enemy is terrorism that is equal in danger as to savage and sabotaging behavior and in disregarding all humanitarian and religious values.”
Certificates were distributed to the graduates and the course shield was presented to the family of the martyr. Moreover, the graduating units performed a military parade and various combat drills.
