The inauguration ceremony of Riyak training center at the headquarters of the 6th Intervention regiment

The inauguration ceremony of Riyak training center, offered as a donation from the US training team, was held at the headquarters of the 6th Intervention regiment – Riyak Airbase, under the patronage of the Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun represented by the Chief of Staff for Personnel Brigadier General P.S.C Khalil Yehya and with the presence of official and social figures in addition to several officers from the Lebanese and US armies. Brigadier General P.S.C Yehya delivered a speech on the occasion in which he commended the initiative and efforts of the US team. His speech included: “training is regarded as a main pillar for armies and units, particularly the operational ones, since the constant perseverance to maintain it leads to complete harmony between the behavior and mindset of soldiers on one hand and the the various accidents that might confront them while performing their duty on the other hand. This is how the importance of this state of the art center is manifested in light of the difficult circumstance facing the country as well as the major defense and security missions burdening the LAF who will remain on guard to preserve internal and borderline security throughout Lebanon, particularly in the Bekaa that has accompanied the LAF since its establishment and provided its best of youth.”  
In the end, the troops of the regiment performed combat parades and the representative of the Armed Forces Commander offered memorial shields to the parties that contributed to the establishment of the center.
