Individual arrested in Al Jdaydeh – Metn

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 29/06/2022, a patrol of the Intelligence Directorate arrested in Al Jdaydeh - Metn, the Syrian (AA.R.H.), as a result of monitoring and follow-up of gangs that defraud shop owners selling solar energy equipment, by buying their supplies with counterfeit money.

The arrestee was seized in possession of a counterfeit amount of $9,000.  He was abusing drugs and had entered the Lebanese territory illegally.

The arrestee and the seized items were turned in to the competent judicial authorities.
