Individual arrested in Qob Elias – Bekaa

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 08/05/2021, an army unit arrested the citizen (M.A.), during a raid in Qob Elias, for opening fire towards a citizen and wounding him after a traffic dispute.

Six military handguns, an M16, seven hunting rifles and an amount of ammunition and military equipment were seized in the arrestee’s residence.

The army unit arrested (Z.A.), (M.A.), (R.S.) and (H.A.) for assaulting the patrol troops during the raid operation.

The seized items were handed over and an investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judiciary authorities.
