Individuals arrested and an amount of material prepared for smuggling seized

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 22 and 23/04/2021, the army units, deployed in the North and Bekaa, arrested 9 citizens and 6 Syrians and seized 1100 liters of diesel, 28000 liters of gas and one and a half tons of scrap, set for being smuggled into Syrian territory.

The army units also seized the vehicles used during the smuggling operation, as well as a car that turned out to be stolen.

The seized items were handed over to the competent judiciary authorities.
