Individuals arrested in Msharafieh and Hay El Sellom

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

A patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested in Msharafieh – Baabda the Algerian (Ch.R.) and in Hay El Sellom – Baabda the two citizens (H.M.) and (AA.N.) for participating in the motorbike marches throughout the southern suburbs and issuing sectarian slogans. The former had opened fire during the marches, on 16 and 17/05/2022, beside promoting and abusing drogue and participating in the Tayouneh clashes. Two firearms and ammunition was seized in his possession. The third was seized in possession of a firearm.

The arrestees and the seized items were turned in to the competent judicial authorities.
