Individuals arrested for promoting narcotics in different regions

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As a result of information being provided to the Intelligence Directorate, a vehicle was detected in Dbayeh with the passengers trafficking narcotics. While the patrol troops attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver did not obey the orders and attempted to run over the troops of the patrol that was forced to open fire towards the tires of the vehicle, leading to hitting a civil car and a military vehicle. This incident led to the injury of the conductor of the suspected car Abd el Jabbar Mahmoud Khazaal where he was transferred to a local hospital for treatment and soon passed away. A Syrian girl who was with them was also arrested. An amount of narcotics was and an amount of money was also seized in the mentioned car.

Moreover, 2 intelligence patrols arrested in Bsalim and Sin el Fil individuals Ali Jaafar and Roy Abou Mrad as well Syrians Ahmad el Hage Hussein and Adel Zarzour for trafficking narcotics in the mentioned villages. The mentioned individuals were caught in the possession of an amount of narcotics and an amount of money.

Investigations were carried out under the supervision of the relevant authorities.
