The LAF Commander addressed military personnel on the occasion of the conclusion of the municipal and mayoral elections and the related security missions:

I extend my congratulations and appreciation to you for your honorable performance throughout the municipal and mayoral elections, during a particularly sensitive period marked by extraordinary challenges for our nation.  Once again, you have proven yourselves worthy of the trust placed in you and the responsibilities you bear—demonstrating unwavering commitment and discipline, and standing as guardians of Lebanon’s democratic character.

Your efforts to ensure the proper conditions, resolve incidents with wisdom and professionalism, as well as pursue and arrest those who fired gunshots, all contributed to the success of this national milestone and projected a bright image of the LAF’s role as a guarantor of stability and a protector of the Constitution.

Our responsibility is immense, but my confidence in your resilience and dedication assures me that we will continue along the path of honor, sacrifice, and loyalty—no matter how great the challenges—in defense of our nation’s security and the dignity of its people.
