The LAF Commander in Chief General Joseph Aoun visited this morning the Military Academy and met with the cadets of the third year in the presence of the academy commander and the trainers. He delivered a speech in which he congratulated them on their graduation after three years of study in difficult and critical conditions, noting that they entered the academy with their competence and also graduated with great efficiency.  General Aoun also said, "Your graduation coincides with the centenary of the founding of the Military Academy, and your session bears the name “the Centennial of Greater Lebanon”. It is a milestone towards which you bare the responsibility of building a new centenary to come. The star that you will carry on your shoulders is Lebanon, it is your responsibility towards your country.  The circumstances prevented us from organizing the graduation ceremony and handover of swords, but I am confident that your military life will witness many successes and achievements.”

General Aoun stressed the need to show a spirit of responsibility and discipline and work on self-development by all standards, "because the officer holds the initiative, and what distinguishes him is that he receives the necessary training to work in the most difficult circumstances."  According to the responsibility and the aspirations of your people and the international community.
The Army Commander in Chief concluded: "Discipline is the backbone of armies built, equipped and trained for similar conditions as the ones we live in today. Keep your faith in your country and your cross-sectarian military institution, for it is the salvation of this nation."
