The LAF Commander in chief inaugurates the surgical operations department at the Central Military Hospital)

LAF Commander in chief General Joseph Aoun inaugurated the surgical operations department at the Central Military Hospital, which Mr.Gilbert, Mr.Ronald Shaghoury and Mrs. Amal Al-Hourani helped build and equip it.

A ceremony was held on the occasion, attended by Major General Elias el-Shamiya, Chief Medical Officer, Brigadier General P.S.C George Youssef, and the head of the hospital, Brigadier General Nassim Abu Daher, and retired Brigadier General Fouad el-Ashqar, representing the Shaghoury brothers and Mr. Sari Gholamiyeh, representing el-Hourani.

General Aoun and the attendees toured the department, which includes five operating rooms equipped with the latest advanced equipment, and listened to explanations.

General Aoun delivered a speech in which he thanked the white hands and the army’s fans who always supported it and financed vital and important projects, indicating that this support placed more responsibilities on the shoulders of the army.

The LAF Commander in chief noted the continuous development of the military healthcare, which provides the best medical services to more than 400,000 citizens, among the military, retirees, and their families, stressing the continuation of support for medicine and the constant endeavor to develop it.
