LAF Commander Offers Condolences to Families of Two Soldiers Martyred in South Lebanon Ammunition Depot Explosion
The LAF Commander, General Rodolph Haykal, offered his condolences to the families of two fallen soldiers in the towns of Hay Al Fikani – Zahle and Majdaloun – Baalbek. The two soldiers were martyred as a result of the explosion of a weapons and ammunition depot in Wadi Zabqin – South Lebanon.
While offering his condolences, the LAF Commander praised the professionalism, integrity, discipline, and readiness for sacrifice — even unto martyrdom — of the two fallen soldiers. He affirmed that the military institution personnel carry out complex and sensitive missions across the entire country, particularly in the South, where LAF units face multiple threats and operate under difficult conditions amid ongoing aggression by the Israeli enemy.
On another note, General Haykal commended the patience and determination of the martyrs’ families, who offered their finest sons to join the LAF in defense of Lebanon.
He stated: “The LAF is the solid fortress and the first line of defense for all Lebanese, and their resilience is one of the key pillars of the nation’s endurance.”
He also noted that the command takes pride in its martyrs and remains loyal to their families, emphasizing that the LAF will continue to shoulder its responsibilities regardless of the challenges it may face.
