The LAF Commander General Joseph Aoun visited this morning the HQ of battalion 23 in Araman - Minya, where he was briefed in detail by the Commander of the Second Brigade and his officers about the circumstances of the operation that led to the martyrdom of the two soldiers, noting that the brigade’s soldiers managed to prevented the terrorist from blowing himself up inside Battalion HQ.

General Aoun addressed the families of the martyrs, saying: “We  value the sacrifices of your children, for they are the martyrs of Lebanon and LAF, and their martydrom is a badge on our hearts. Despite the various difficulties and challenges, the slogan of honor, sacrifice and loyalty will always push us forward to continue carrying out our duty. The loss is painful, but what the martyrs did is much greater". He also pointed out that terrorism does not have a sect or religion, and its basic plan is killing, and that the blood of the martyrs thwarted evil plans that were being prepared for our country. He added that LAF will not allow the terrorists to infiltrate  Lebanon, whatever sacrifices it costs.

General Aoun added: "Our martyrs saved Lebanon from dangerous operations and protected all its regions without exception, and the houses of Akkar will remain full of young people who will not hesitate to offer their blood and sacrifice for the sake of Lebanon, and what this region has offered is worthy of its honorable history, starting from the battle of Danniyeh to the present day."

In conclusion, the families of the martyrs appealed General Aoun to convey their desire to public officials by categorically rejecting to pardon the killers of their sons, demanding justice for the souls of the martyrs. They stressed that they would not hesitate to make more sacrifices for the sake of the homeland no matter how high the price is, because Lebanon is more precious than everything.
