LAF soldier martyred, an army patrol and several army posts under fire

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
At 00.45, militants opened fire targeting an army patrol and military posts in the towns of Talia, Britel, El-Khodor and Douris. As a result of the shooting, an army soldier martyred while crossing the area by coincidence. Prior to the incident, the wanted outlaw Abbas el-Masri opened fire in the air at Douris military checkpoint while attempting to pass forcibly on board a BMW four wheel vehicle along with Jaafar el-A’afi. The Army troops at the checkpoint opened fire in retaliation and the shootout resulted in the injury of Abbas el-Masri and Jaafar el-A’afi who were transported to Dar el-Amal Medical Hospital in Baalbek to receive medical treatment.
