LAF thwarts an Illegal people-smuggling operation across the sea

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
A patrol of Army Navy Forces thwarted on 27/9/2020 an illegal people-smuggling operation across the sea.
The vessel was detected at the sea facing the north shore, and onboard were 41 individuals of Syrian citizenship and a Lebanese.
They were turned in to the valid judicial authorities and investigations were initiated.
