The Lebanese Army Commander-in-Chief, General Rodolph Haykal, inspected the command of the 7th Infantry Brigade at François Al Hajj Barracks in Marjaayoun, where he reviewed the operational situation in the South Litani Sector. He also met with officers and soldiers, praising their resilience and sacrifices amid the ongoing Israeli attacks targeting various areas in Lebanon, which have resulted in fallen martyrs and wounded.

He stressed that the army is the solution for Lebanon’s salvation and the guarantee of its unity, noting that campaigns of defamation will not deter the institution from performing its duty.

He said: “We are determined to extend the authority of the state over all its territory in accordance with the decision of the political leadership, and we remain committed to the supreme national interest in order to preserve the unity of Lebanon and its people.

The military uniform that unites members of the institution belongs to the nation, with all its regions and communities.”

He added: “The phase is difficult and the challenges are severe, but our determination, strength, and belief in the sanctity of our mission remain the foundation of our success.”

He concluded by urging soldiers to remain vigilant and not be influenced by rumors that attempt to undermine the institution.

Afterward, General Haykal went to Qlayaa in Marjaayoun, where he offered condolences to the parish priest of Saint George Church – Qlayaa, Father Pierre Miled Al Raai, who was killed as a result of an Israeli attack on the town.
