Martyrdom of army troops in an ambush in Hermel

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 9/2/2020 during the pursuit of a stolen vehicle by an Intelligence Directorate patrol in the neighborhood of el-Mesherfeh – el-Hermel, the patrol was ambushed and came under fire. The shootout resulted in the martyrdom of 2 LAF soldiers and the injury of three others in addition to the death of the shooter and the arrest of the suspect driving the vehicle.
