Meetings of the Armed Forces Commander

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun received in his office in Yarzeh the MPs Emile Rahme and Walid Khoury  as well as former MP Ousama Saad with whom he discussed the latest developments in the country. General Aoun also received the Ambassador of Canada to Lebanon Ms. Michelle Cameron and talks during the visit addressed the situation in Lebanon and the region as well as bilateral relations between the armies of both countries.
General Aoun met later during the day with the Egyptian Defense Attaché Colonel Houssam Eddin Mohsen Ali Hasan in a farewell visit during which he introduced his successor Colonel Wael Mahmoud Zakaria.
General Aoun also met with the general patriarchal vicar bishop Hanna Alwan and the patriarchal vicar to the parish of Ehden – Zgharta bishop Boulos Abdel Sater. Later on, General Aoun met with the CEO of Solidere Mr. Mounir el-Dweidi who headed an accompanying delegation and discussions addressed general issues.
