Military training in Spain in celebration of the Spanish national day on Saturday
The LAF Rangers unit continued its joint training activities with the Spanish Armed Forces in preparation of the military parade that will be held on the Spanish National Day on Saturday in the Spanish capital Madrid. Units from other countries such as Mali, Mauritania and the Senegal also participated in the training activities since the Spanish Armed Forces participates in Peacekeeping missions in these countries.
This participation came as a result of an invitation from the Spanish Defense Ministry simultaneously with the celebration of 500 years of the first excursion around the world that took off from Spain. The parade starts at 12 noon, Beirut timing, with the jump of paratroopers holding the Spanish flag. Another aerial show will follow in addition to a parade where the military vehicles will be displayed. The banner holders will follow these parades led by the Lebanese flag which will be held a Lebanese officer and the rest of the Lebanese troops participating in the event.
The Ambassador of Lebanon to Spain Hala Keyrouz visited the barrack where the training activities are taking place where she met with the Lebanese troops and praised the professionalism and the seriousness they showed during the drills that impressed the Spanish authorities. She also commended the feats that the LAF keeps on achieving and said that they are a source of pride for all the Lebanese.
