OBITUARY FOR RETIRED BRIGADIER GENERAL MOUNIR MERHI

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation mourns the passing of retired Brigadier General Mounir Merhi, who passed away on 1/11/2025. Below is a brief overview of his life:
•    Born on July 1, 1934, in Btater – Aley.
•    Enlisted in the army on October 1, 1954.
•    Rose through the ranks to the position of Brigadier General as of January 1, 1984.
•    Received several medals, including: the War Medal, the Lebanese Order of Merit – First Class, the National Order of the Cedar – Officer Rank, in addition to multiple commendations and congratulations from the Army Commander.
•    Completed several training courses both in Lebanon and abroad.
•    Married and father of three children.
