Obituary of Retired Brigadier General PSC Ali Chibli

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation mourns the passing of Retired Brigadier General Ali Chibli (Military No. 690033), who passed away on Tuesday, 21 July 2026. A brief biography follows:
• Born on 10 June 1944 in Tebnine – Bint Jbeil. 
• Enlisted in the Lebanese Army on 4 October 1965. He was promoted as a Second Lieutenant on 1 August 1969 and was subsequently promoted through the ranks until attaining the rank of Brigadier General effective 1 July 1994. 
• Awarded several military decorations and received the Commander of the Army's Commendation and Congratulations on multiple occasions. 
• Completed several military training courses in Lebanon and abroad. 
• Married with three children.
