OBITUARY OF RETIRED MAJOR GENERAL RIAD TAKIEDDINE

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation mourns Retired Major General Riad Takieddine, who passed away on 29/08/2026. The following is a brief overview of his life:

• Born on 1 July 1938, in Baakline-Chouf.
• Enlisted in the Army on 09/10/1959, and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 14/09/1962. He subsequently rose through the ranks, reaching the rank of Major General as of 1/1/1995.
• Recipient of several medals, as well as multiple commendations and congratulations from the Army Commander-in-Chief.
• Attended several training courses in Lebanon and abroad.
• Married and father of three children.
