Fellow troops

May 25th, 2000 remains a shining landmark in our homeland’s history, and a milestone among our victories. For the Lebanese people was able, through their struggle, will and determination, to expel the Israeli enemy from Lebanon and to destroy the myth of its military superiority. In the Lebanese conscience, they wrote a legacy of Righteousness, Dignity and Freedom, becoming a source of pride for the whole world. They cemented struggle as a principle in the memory of all peoples. This was on the day of Resistance and Liberation.

Fellow troops

You were and will remain, as we have known you, filled with determination and solid will, carrying out the tasks entrusted to you with high morale, faith, patience and resolve, so that our country Lebanon persists no matter how hard the challenges and no matter how harsh the circumstances. You remain the one who weaves the threads of patriotism and unites the nation.

Fellow troops

You are deployed on the southern border, with the support of the UNIFIL to implement Resolution 1701 and all of its components. However, your presence on the border in the face of the Israeli enemy would not have been achieved without your maintaining of internal stability, civil peace and coexistence, and the Lebanese support to their army, based on their right to resist the occupation, deter its attacks, and retrieve occupied territory.

Fellow troops

You perpetuate our right to confront the Israeli aggression and prevent it from realizing its ambitions in our land and marine resources, after hundreds of martyrs paid their pure blood as a price for victory and drew through it the borders of the homeland.
