Palestinian Mohammad Ahmad Thiab escaped the troops of an army checkpoint at the gate of Rashidiye camp

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Palestinian Mohammad Ahmad Thiab ‎escaped the troops of an army checkpoint at around 20.30 yesterday at the gate of Rashidiye camp – Tyr, while searching a vehicle that contained 2 other individuals, thus leading the troops of the checkpoint to open fire in the air in order to warn him to stop. However, Thiab did not obey the orders and they had to open fire towards him, leading to his injury where he was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Amount of narcotics were confiscated inside the vehicle.

The confiscated items were turned in to the relevant authorities and investigations were carried out under the supervision of the relevant authorities.
