Passing of retired Brigadier General Antonios Souwan

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation declares the sad demise of retired Brigadier General Antonios Souwan who passed away on 19/3/2019.

The following information present a briefing of the late Brigadier General’s life and career:

• Born on 5/2/1938
• Enlisted in the Army on 1/1/1959 and gradually rose the ranks and reached the rank of Brigadier General starting from 1/7/1988
• Received several medals and decorations as well as the commendation and felicitation of the Armed Forces Commander on several occasions
• Followed several training courses in Lebanon and abroad
• Married with 3 children

The body of the deceased will be transported from the central military hospital on 21/3/2019 at 9:45 to the church of the Lady of Lourdes – Furn el-Chebbak where the funeral will be held on the same day at 12 and the burial will take place at the cemetery of the family in Abi Samra – Tripoli

Condolences can be paid before the funeral and starting 10:00. Condolences can also be paid on 22 and 23/3/2019 starting 11:00 till 18:00 in the church of the Lady of Lourdes – Furn el-Chebbak.
