A person killed, two injured as a result of a shooting incident in Baalbeck

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 19/05/2022, the wanted (A.H.J.) accompanied by (AA.M.J), (AA.AA.J.), and his brothers (M.AA.J.) and (M.AA.J.) opened fire on a shop in Baalbek belonging to the citizen (W.R.) causing his death and the injury of (M.D.B.) and (B.AA.R.).

Immediately, the army units conducted enhanced patrols, implemented security measures in the region, and raided residences suspected of holding the shooters inside. Upon the army units’ arrival, armed men had opened fire in the air.

A firearm, two hunting rifles, an amount of drogues, ammunition, and security cameras were seized as a result of the raid.

The shooters are being pursued with the aim of arresting and turning them in to the competent judicial authorities.
