Raiding in Bab Al-Tabbaneh, arrests and seizing of weapons

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 18/02/2021, following a problem involving shooting between a number of citizens in the Bab Al-Tabbaneh area, Al-Jihad Street due to previous disputes, an army force raided several homes and arrested citizens (M.F.) and (M.M.) and seized a Kalashnikov type and its accessories. The Army force also arrested the citizens (A.A.) and (M.D) for possessing a handgun.

During the raids, the army seized 13 Kalashnikovs, a M16 rifle, an RPG, 10 handguns, in addition to defensive and offensive hand grenades, BTU rifle grenades, ammunition of various calibers, RPG grenades, a quantity of Captagon pills and Military clothes and materiel.

The detainees and the confiscated items were handed to the valid judiciary authorities, and the investigation has been initiated.
