Raids and Arrest of One Individual Involved in the Kidnapping of Two Syrians

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Further to the statement issued on 24/02/2026 regarding the release of two kidnapped Syrians in the town of Al Majdal – Wadi Khaled, and following monitoring and security tracking operations to arrest those involved, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate carried out raids in Al Aouda and Al Majdal – Wadi Khaled. The patrol arrested citizen (Aa.Aa.), one of the members of the kidnapping gang. Military weapons, a hand grenade, and a quantity of drugs were seized in his possession.

The seized items were handed over, and an investigation with the arrestees has been initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining members of the gang.
