Raids and the arrest of two citizens, and the seizure of a large quantity of drugs in Baalbek

The Army Command– Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
The army units continue carrying out their missions across various Lebanese regions to arrest wanted individuals, those disturbing public security, and to combat drug trafficking.
In this context, an army unit in Baalbek arrested two citizens (A.A.) and (Y.A.), who were wanted for previously opening fire on different dates. Weapons of war and a quantity of drugs were seized in their possession.
Additionally, following careful surveillance and monitoring operations, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided the residences of wanted individuals in Haour Taala – Baalbek, seizing a large quantity of drugs, raw materials used in their manufacture, amphetamine (speed), as well as military ammunition.
The seized items were handed over, and an investigation has been initiated with the two arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities. Efforts are ongoing to arrest others involved in drug trafficking.
