Raids and Arrests in Hortaala - Baalbek and Fissan - Hermel, and the destruction of a tent used for Hashish Cultivation

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of the security measures carried out by the army units, supported by the Intelligence Directorate, the following operations were conducted on 22/12/2023:

• Raiding the residences of wanted individuals in Hortaala – Baalbek and seizing an amount of drugs, military equipment, and two stolen cars. Moreover, a tent used for Hashish cultivation was destroyed.
• Arresting the citizens (AA.H.J.) and (AA.H.J.) in Fissan – Hermel, as they were wanted for the following crimes: kidnapping, human trafficking, car theft, drug abuse, and opening fire.

The seized items were handed over and the investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
