Raids and Arrests of Individuals, Including a Drug Trafficking Gang
The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
As part of efforts to combat drug trafficking and pursue individuals who threaten security, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate carried out a raid in the Keserwan – Kaslik area, arresting the citizen (M.M.), his brother (A.M.), and the citizen (A.S.) for forming a gang active in drug distribution. A quantity of drugs was seized in their possession.
Based on the results of the investigation with the three detainees, a patrol from the Directorate raided a house in the Dora – Metn area and arrested a woman who was working for the gang, using the house to package drugs and engage in prostitution.
In addition, another patrol from the Directorate arrested the citizen (R.AA.) in the town of Azqiyeh – Donieh. He was wanted under several arrest warrants for committing various crimes, including shooting, attempted murder, trafficking in military weapons, kidnapping, theft, drug use, and possession of a quantity of drugs.
The seized items were handed over, and the investigation was initiated with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
